Surgical Rape

I was in my early forties when this true story happened. I put my trust in a doctor, then two years later, in an attorney. Never did it cross my mind I would leave that operating room void of a kidney, adrenal gland, spleen, appendix and had a total hysterectomy, all done during the same surgical procedure. I had just gotten married less than a year before that and was still an excited bride, except with one back-lash. I had endometriosis, a uterus abnormality that haunts many females. Endometriosis is when the tissue which usually lines the inside of the uterus, grows outside of the uterus, causing pain whenever something touches the uterus and I was married. So, I became determined to get medical help. I knew I’d had the problem for some time, but when I did not have a husband, there was never much pain. Then I went to my OB-GYN and she asked if I had any other pain. I told her I had a little pain in my side. She sent me to an Oncologist, “Just in case it’s more serious!” she had said, So, I went to see the Oncologist she referred. He confirmed that I had Endometriosis and said I needed surgery. I still was not satisfied and sought a second opinion, Dr. X. He decided to do an MRI, which he advised me that there was a mass, abutting from my spleen and that surgery would be the best solution. No lab test nor smears to prove it was cancer. This is the point where this rough journey began! Dr. X had speedily ill-advised me on the medical choices I should make right away. And, yes, I agreed to have the splenectomy along with the hysterectomy. Dr. X was a surgeon so I agreed to allow the OB-GYN-Oncologist do the female part first. That was to be done by Laparoscopic method only. The two doctors and I agreed to that. I was ready to get back to my marriage and job. But, after the hysterectomy was over, Dr. X would take over and get the spleen out. He had trouble getting three large organs out through the tiny Lap incision. The kidney and adrenal gland should not have been cut out in the first place. Since these organs were being forced out, he had to cut the incision bigger. There as a helpless victim, clearly, he was taking advantage of me! It seemed he had planned which organs he wanted because he performed a perfect nephrectomy. So, with my left kidney and adrenal gland in his skilled hands, he was not able to identify the kidney. He claimed the normal-sized healthy kidney was an adrenal mass and placed the kidney in the container and consciously wrote on it “Adrenal Mass”. Oh, I awakened from that botched surgery, but then the nightmare began. I feel as if it will last for a lifetime unless I get some American justice!! Then, two years later, in a three-day Medical Malpractice trial, my attorney picked up the baton of injustice by totally violating my constitutional rights and selling me out! I was led ignorantly to my ruin but this information booklet will serve as a red light for others to watch out for this kind of trickery from doctors and lawyers. How was it that in a three-day trial, not once did my attorney object to any of what the defense said. He simply went along with whatever they said and did, which was a lot of lying and disrespect for the ill victim and her family. Then after the attorney sold out, he jumped ship and abandoned me. Later, I begged him to handle the appeals and he said he would if I had tens of thousands of dollars to fork out. He very well knew I did not and that was the last I saw him. But, now, he will get the surprise of his life, eight years later when he reads this book. Although his name is not mentioned in the book, he will know it is about him and crooks of his cold caliber.
