About the Book

Lost Innocence is about a naive eighteen-year-old girl that falls madly in love with an older man. She’s still in high school, and he’s a divorced man with two kids. The only problem with their relationship is he’s a real womanizer and can’t seem to be faithful to one woman. He really does love her, but he’s just not ready to settle down. Their relationship begins with a lie when she told him that she was nineteen. She knew that if he knew she had just turned eighteen, he wouldn’t have anything to do with her. Her best friend, Connie, tried to warn her about Thomas, but she wouldn’t listen. She knew the moment that she first saw Thomas that he was the man that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. The trouble begins when Jennifer and Connie decide to spend the summer at the beach. Thomas and Mark, Connie’s boyfriend, decided to join them at the beach. Jennifer realized that she was in over her head, but she let her heart rule her thinking—even after she has been warned by Connie and Mark that Thomas would break her heart. It was a summer of love and heartbreak for all four of them, but it was also an awakening for Jennifer. She knew that she would never love another man the way she loved Thomas. She also knew that he would indeed break her heart eventually, but she didn’t care; she was in love for the first time.

About the Author

L.J. Grew up in a small North Carolina town called Lillington, if you blink going through Lillington you’ll miss it. I’ve lived in Louisiana, Texas, Colorado and South Carolina. I’m finally back in North Carolina close to my family. We have no kid but we have one rotten fur baby, that thinks she’s human. My husband and I sold our business a few years ago and I decided that I wanted to write a book. I’ve always been an avid reader and I’ve always wanted to write, but never had the time. Since we sold our business I now had time to do my writing. This is my first attempt at writing and I really hope that you enjoy it. If you did like it you might want to read my next book that continues where the first book left off.
