About the Book

The Truth About You is a book of poetry explaining and exposing truths for exactly what they are. These poems express gratitude, loss, compassion, and most importantly, learning how to love yourself by accepting the truth about yourself. The book opens up with the road-to-recovery poem “Under Construction” and jumps to “Broke,” which explains going totally in debt for someone’s affection. It ends with “Ugly,” a poem that focuses on true beauty and coming to terms with your physical view of yourself. Who knows, my truth might very well be yours. Enjoy!

About the Author

Damion J. Chandler is a Tennessee native, born and raised in East Nashville. He attended Hunters Lane High School and received his diploma in the spring of 2010. Chandler’s work through poetry and literature has earned him various awards including the prestigious Editors Choice Award In 2012. Damion currently resides in Nashville TN as a Trainer for Logans Roadhouse.
