The Little Teddy Bear was born in a cave where it was dark, but he didn't care. Then, one day, his mother left the cave and he followed her. At first, he was afraid, but he was soon awed by what he saw. There was white fluffy stuff he could slide on, a stream of water filled with wiggly things, a grassy place where he could lay down and sleep, a big tree where something said Whoo Whoo Whoo and swooshed away, a little hill to climb where sweet berries grew on prickly bushes, and wonder of wonders, another bear about his size came tumbling down a hillside and said, "Hello. I'm Prissy Bear. Come play with me. They chased each other around a tree until they were tired. Prissy disappeared into the woods, and Little Teddy Bear followed Mama Bear into the forest to a big tree where bees made sweet nectar that she loved. The Little Teddy Bear, who by now had grown into a Big Teddy Bear, declared the nectar good enough for a king or queen. Did they have a feast? I bet they did. Don't you?

About the Author
Barbara Cueter is the widow of an engineer, a fiction writer, the mother of four and grandmother of two, but she has also been a teacher, a licensed financial planner, a legal newspaper columnist, a corporate executive, a political activist, and the daughter of Nettie who wrote The Little Teddy Bear for Anthony, her great grandson. Anthony and other children have enjoyed the story so much that Barbara published it so that all children can enjoy the wonderous adventures of The Little Teddy Bear and his mother.
