About the Book

This book is my blueprint that can be used to raise your daughters to be articulate, self-confident, intelligent, and extraordinary young women and leaders. I want to inspire other parents to teach their daughters to be extraordinary from the moment they are born.

About the Author

Ever since Dr. Hawkins’ son was a baby, countless parents, teachers, and coaches always asked her what she was doing that was special to raise her son. They always commented about how alert, intelligent, and curious he was as a baby. As her son grew older, people continued noticing how smart and articulate he was, how much self-esteem he displayed, and the natural leadership skills he possessed. Because of this, Dr. Hawkins decided to write her first book about how to raise an infant boy into an extraordinary young man for one reason – to inspire. Dr. Hawkins wants to ultimately motivate parents everywhere to raise their sons to be intelligent, self-confident, and extraordinary young men. She wrote a book for girls as well – Dr. Hawkins wanting parents of young girls to know that they can also raise their daughters to grow up to be confident, extraordinary young women.

Dr. Hawkins is a proud wife, mother, sports fan, fitness lover, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! She is a mentor, tutor, and motivator. Dr. Hawkins earned her Ph.D. from George Mason University, her Master of Public Health from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science from Howard University.
