About the Book

This is a fiction story for young adults. It’s about a fifteen-year-old girl who is trying to grow up too fast. When she runs away with her twenty-one-year old boyfriend, she soon finds out that she is not ready for the adult world. In the beginning it was the dream of a lifetime, the perfect fairy tale, with the handsome prince carrying the lovely maiden off to a beautiful palace and living happily ever after. However, that dream was soon lost. Her dream boat became abusive, she became pregnant and began to take the frustration of her unhappy home life out on the baby. When the love of her life beats her so bad and puts her in the hospital, this young girl became confused. What happened to her palace? And where did the handsome prince go? She is still waiting and waiting, when will the happily ever after start? Or perhaps…this is it.

About the Author

Salome M. Holloway was born in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Soon afterward the family moved to Lansing, Michigan where she went to school and graduated at Eastern High. She began writing fiction stories back in the mid 80’s. Her stories are about a group of young people coming of age. Salome got her inspiration while walking home one day and she noticed a few teenagers sitting on a front porch socializing. She used that same house and the exact same location as the main setting for her stories. As of today, she has nine sequels. Salome enjoys writing and when she’s not at her computer she is spending time with her grandchildren and her two dogs.
