About the Book

New York, NY—Dr. Howard Scheiner invites you to share in Apotheosis, as he continues his unique journey of life and spirit. Filled with enlightenment and wisdom, he offers his readers a distinctive and ever-greater understanding of universal truth, as he enlarges his vision for happiness and a joy-filled life. “No one could reasonably argue that life, with all the experiences it brings to us, is anything other than compelling. We all come to this earthly plane naked and alone, separated from God, separated from bliss, separated from the womb, and here we begin a journey of the soul. We come from somewhere else to travel through life. God, bliss, and the trauma of birth are all but forgotten. Our passage, however, is not the goal. The journey itself is readily apparent, which is why it may be mistaken for the aim in life. The true purpose is not nearly as obvious, since it is hidden within one’s self. “I’ve devoted this lifetime of love and learning to the creation of this book, a work of empowerment and truth; one capable of inspiring healing and growth for any and every searching soul . . . across all generations, across all time. “Each one of us who finds their inner light can use it to help others find their own. Even before awareness had taken hold, I innately tried to shine my light, feeble though it was, out from the shadows where I dwelled. Even the smallest light, like a pebble dropped in a pond, creates ripples that spread outwards indefinitely. Time has passed. My light is brighter. The illumination I offer now is directed not only to the health of the body but even more to the struggle of the spirit, to reconcile the apparent contradictions inherent in a life that is born to die.”

About the Author

Howard Lawrence Scheiner was born to modest beginnings and raised with love in New York City. A graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, he feels privileged to practice medicine. He has shared a busy practice in Manhattan and Staten Island with his medical partner of nearly forty years, specializing in Internal Medicine and HIV medicine. "By becoming a physician, I had the opportunity to see about 200,000 patient visits to date, giving me a unique vantage point into the lives of so many along with the insight into life, health, illness, and death." His first writing in the public forum was his own Off-Broadway play, "And the stars were shining...", which he wrote, directed, and produced in 2002, at the Jose Quintero theater. His "Genesis Sonata" for piano had its public debut in concert in 2009, which he happily shares on youtube.com. He founded "The Brent Varner Project, Inc.", a charity that provides free HIV services to this in need, originally through The Actors Fund of America. His first manuscript, "A Book Of Life", was and is the story of his journey to understanding and belief in a Greater Reality. That was followed by "Reawakening", written from this new and different perspective with words that come to him outside his five senses. His last book, "I" On Life, offered his readers a distinctive, and even greater, understanding of universal Truth as he enlarged his vision for happiness and a joy-filled life. His highly personal journey of life and spirit has continued to grow in understanding and belief, transformed by greater awareness, acquired wisdom, and expanded consciousness. Of note he awakes each day happy to be alive, feeling blessed with the joys and sorrows of his life, joyfully connected to All-That-Is and thoroughly savoring his singular journey. He remains bound to the city of his birth, residing in Manhattan with Nero the Maltese, Mrs. Jingles, the Chihuahua, as well as Bobby and Michael, his roommates. He now invites his readers to share in "Apotheosis".
