Leave Alive is designed as a guide and support for domestic violence victims, to help in the fight to end abuse. Having identified some familiarities of the major signs of the categorized abuse, this book was specially composed and designed with passion and support, while guiding, strengthening, reassuring, and comforting those who are currently being victimized, who are currently being affected by the abuse a loved one is undergoing, who have survived domestic violence or any other form of abuse, who have lost a loved one to domestic violence or any other form of abuse, and who want to become advocates to help victims in our community and society in the fight to end all forms of abuse, thus helping them leave alive. This book also contains Bible scriptures that will uplift, strengthen, encourage, and inspire one’s spiritual being, mind, heart, and soul, with the intention of creating positivity, winning souls for Christ and changing lives worldwide.


About the Author

Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, Danette Mahabeer, was raised in a single parent family with four siblings. She migrated to the United States at age 26. Having completed a Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism Management, and having worked in the Tourism and Hospitality industry for over 10 years, she quickly developed strong passion and interest, and diverted into the Music Industry, for two years, as a Recording Artiste. She decided to write and publish her first book, to bring awareness to the topic, which has been rapidly escalating in our society today. Danette is a mother to one: a daughter. She is also a Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur, Women’s Advocate, Humanitarian, Author and Poet, and is presently pursuing a Law Degree. She is a born-again Christian, who was baptized into the Apostolic Church and strongly believes that all things are possible, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
